PRE AP 7TH

MATH 7

April 21, 2014

Objective

(I will…)

I will solve for the x and y intercept.

Student Activities

Return test from Friday and go over the problems as a class.

Assess./Evaluations

Assign the Mixed Review 49-51 and check each student for correct answers.

Academic Vocab.

X intercept and Y intercept

Standard

7.A.4.4: Solve two-step equations and inequalities with one variable over the rational numbers, interpret the solution or solutions in the context from which they arose, and verify the reasonableness of the results.

Modifications

/Accommodations

Students will work in groups to answer questions. Students can decide how they want to learn today by using EXPO marker on whiteboards/tables or by taking notes with paper and pencil. Regular classes, SPED, will work the above problems.

Objective

(I will…)

I will solve for the x and y intercept.

Student Activities

Using EXPO markers have students work at their desk in groups solving multi step inequalities or equations. Page 248 in Algebra 1 book. #23-#26-#29 as a class. Check for correct steps and solution.

Assess./Evaluations

Page 248 have the students now work #22-#25-#28 and check for mastery of 70% or better.
